History
Biotechnology Research Center of SEMUMS started its activities in 2000 and was officially opened in 2002. This center is the first biotechnology research center in Semnan province. Its aims are to conduct basic, applied and developmental research, train qualified specialists based on the needs of society in the field of medical biotechnology (health, treatment and medicine). The aims of its activities are expanding the frontiers of knowledge, producing biological products, inventing and setting up molecular detection methods, expanding scientific cooperation with other centers inside and outside the country and training specialists in the mentioned fields by observing the country's priorities.
