A 44-year-old patient who suffered cartilage damage of the talus bone of the ankle underwent Ankle Surgery. This Arthroscopic Surgery was performed by Dr. Mohammad Khaleghi Hashemian and Dr. Iman Sadeghian, orthopedic surgeons of Kosar Hospital.

The orthopedic surgeon said: A 44-year-old female patient with chronic ankle pain along with swelling was referred to the hospital and was diagnosed with cartilage damage of the talus bone of the ankle, which was a part of the cartilage that was torn off. Therefore, the removed part of the cartilage was removed and Microdrilling was performed on the remaining area, which will play an effective role in reducing the patient's pain.

Dr. Mohammad Khaleghi Hashemian added: Ankle arthroscopy is a surgical process that is performed using fiber optic cameras and surgical tools through small incisions in and around the ankle. In this method, compared to traditional and open surgery, we will have a shorter recovery time.

It is worth mentioning: this surgery was successfully performed with the cooperation of the anesthesia team supervised by Dr. Alma Bigdali, an anesthesiologist, and the experienced staff of the operating room of Kosar Hospital.
