7,000 foreign students are studying in medical universities of Iran

Dr. Mohammad Amir Amirkhani, in a video conference at the first international conference on cross-cultural medical education of SEMUMS, referring to the emphasis of the Supreme Leader in his recent meeting with the ambassadors of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stated: In this meeting, he emphasized the need to develop relations with neighboring countries of the same direction, as well as develop relations and synergy with other Islamic countries.

He stated that: three of the significant policies of Ministry of Health and Medical Education in international area are internationalization of capacities of Medical Universities, presenting Ministry of Health and Medical Education as an important role in region, developing economic cooperation in Health, Treatment and Medical Education.

He presented scientific- technological development in medical sciences at the regional level as one of the important policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran. So, holding regional scientific events, regional technological events and creating international innovation centers are the ways to achieve this goal.
