Brain Microdialysis Lab

Microdialysis is an important in vivo sampling technique that permits the quantification of various substances (e.g., neurotransmitters, neuropeptides, enzyme activity and electrolytes) in blood and tissue. The principle of microdialysis is based on passive passage of molecules across a semipermeable membrane through their concentration gradient. Using this technique, sampling of interested molecules in extracellular fluid of brain following investigational interventions can be performed.

The mocrodialysis lab was established in 2017 as a research lab in physiology research center (Semnan-Iran).
