Responsibilities:
Triage
- Rapid initial assessment of life-threatening conditions in critically injured clients
- Systematic and quick assessment (secondary) of patients from head to toe to identify all possible injuries
- Recording the evaluated cases according to the patient's basic problem
- Meeting the immediate needs of the client
- Putting the patient in one of the emergency classification categories and announcing the code if needed
- Checking patients periodically
- Completing the triage review form
- Communicating properly and effectively with the patients' families in the waiting room and informing them of the patients' condition
- Informing the doctor to visit the patients
- Guiding and transferring patients to the emergency room if hospitalization is required
CPR
- Ensuring the proper functioning of CPR room equipment and devices
- Ensuring the adequacy of drugs and serums in the CPR room
- Fast and uninterrupted delivery of patients

There are 6 beds in this ward, 3 for male and 3 for female patients. Patients are not hospitalized in it, yet some emergency measures like Serum therapy, Oxygen therapy, Injections, dressings and ECG are done in it. Technical official of it is an internist. The emergency doctor visits patients round the clock.
