  • Coordinating and taking measures to form hospital committees, controlling hospital infection, participating in them actively, and following up on relevant approvals
  • Preparing and compiling educational materials and organizing training sessions related to environmental health and public health for the personnel of different categories
  • Supervising and intervening in concluding hospital service contracts and requesting medical examination card, labor examination card and public health education certificate of personnel subject to law
  • Checking out the condition of water used by the hospital (public network, private network) and compiling a file related to it
  • Controlling quantitative and qualitative hygiene of water consumption, and running periodic microbial, chemical and chlorination tests based on existing instructions, standards and conditions
  • Supervising, checking out and controlling health of all different stages of collection, separation, transfer, temporary storage and disposal of hospital waste, as well as preventing the sale and recycling of hospital waste
  • Supervising and controlling health on how to dispose hospital wastewater and, if there is a problem, providing appropriate executive proposals
  • Sampling of effluent from the wastewater treatment system in accordance with the announced instructions (if there is a treatment plant) in order to check the quality of wastewater treatment
  • Controlling insects and rodents with the priority of improving the environment, sanitary disposal of waste and, if necessary, the principled use of chemical methods, as well as preventing the activities of unauthorized spraying companies.
  • Supervising and intervening in the preparation and application of disinfectants and hospital cleaners
  • Taking measures for preparing clothes and necessities required in spraying and disinfection (gowns, hats, gloves, masks, boots, etc.) and providing pesticides, disinfectants, other equipment and tools used in spraying and disinfection in coordination with hospital officials
  • Checking out the technical and hygienic condition of the air conditioning system in the hospital (heating, cooling) and following up to solve possible problems
  • Following up and taking measure for health and protection issues of the ionizing radiation department with the help of the relevant expert of Health Physics
  • Supervising technical and hygienic condition of kitchen continuously (Environmental hygiene conditions of the kitchen, refrigeration condition, food storage, WC, personal hygiene of ward staff, rest room of staff, washing and disinfection of dishes, washing and disinfection of raw vegetables used, hygienic condition of food ready to cook and dishes used, etc.)
  • Supervising and coordinating in the food supply, cooking and distribution chain with the cooperation of a nutritionist in order to ensure the health of food distribution and consumption
  • Monitoring and controlling laundry-related matters and observing all safety and health points in terms of separating infectious clothes from non-infectious ones during washing and using automatic detergents and suitable cleaning agents, and finally disinfecting and ironing infectious and contaminated clothes. It is necessary to choose the type and the amount allowed so as not to cause damage to the equipment and clothing.)
  • Communicating continuously Deputies of Health and Treatment in coordinating executive activities and instructions and supervisory measures in the hospital
  • Recording administrative actions and correspondence, and forming a proper and regular archive so that the process of activities and follow-up is fully accessible and visible. (Documenting)
  • Monitoring safety and active participation in reducing accidents and injuries in the hospital, including window coverings, fire extinguishers and warning systems, containment of medical capsules and etc.
  • Providing improvement strategies as the most basic method of carrier control
  • Carrying out assigned tasks in special situations such as controlling the epidemic as well as dealing with crises and disasters
  • Creating a culture and preventing smoking in closed and public spaces of the hospital
  • Monitoring and controlling hygiene in all wards
  • Cooperating and coordinating with managers and officials of different departments in the field of job and organizational duties.
