Environmental Health of VH
Introduction and Responsibilities:
- Identifying, categorizing and determining the priorities and needs of the hospital's environmental health
- Studying, researching in the field of hospital environmental health
- Selecting and proposing new practical methods for planning and improving the health condition of the hospital environment quantitatively and qualitatively
- Implementing, following up and supervising the application of the provisions of the bylaws, conditions, standards, circulars and instructions notified in the field of duties and expert approval of related contracts
- Organizing and participating in conferences, workshops, meetings, and scientific, specialized and executive committees on environmental health, controlling hospital infections, and following its approvals in the field of duties
- Visiting and supervising all parts of the hospital daily- continuously according to the regulations.
- Supervising and controlling the separation, collection, transportation and disposal of solid waste
- Following up and monitoring the implementation of pollution control programs and noise in and around the hospital with the cooperation of relevant offices
- Supervising and following up continuous programs, washing and disinfecting different parts of the hospital according to the rules and instructions
- Monitoring and controlling the hygiene of water and sewage system
- Supervising and controlling the heating, cooling, ventilation and fire extinguishing systems of the hospital
- Following up the elimination of environmental health deficiencies through the officials of the relevant offices
- Planning, monitoring and following up on improving the hospital environment
- Monitoring the fighting with and control of insects, rodents and other animals, taking into account health and environmental conditions
- Supervising the health control of employees (obtaining a health card and recording the results in the health records of people in the kitchen, pantry, laundry, etc.)
- Supervising environmental health affairs of centers where medical staff work with radiation, and controlling health of radiation medical staff according to conditions and regulations
- Preparing reports on environmental health problems with the relevant hospital officials and following up to eliminate deficiencies
- Participating in the planning and implementation of health education programs in the field of hospital environmental health for staff, patients, clients and trainees
- Monitoring and following up on environmental health issues in the vicinity of the hospital in coordination with the regional health centers
- Collecting, organizing, classifying and analyzing information required by environmental health statistics of different parts of the hospital
- Documenting activities, preparing reports and sending them to the relevant authorities
