Infection Control Interface of MH

 

Responsibilities:

  • Observing the rules and regulations of the hospital and performing affairs according to the superior order
  • Participating in nursing classes, courses and conferences to achieve the latest methods of patient care
  • Supervising and controlling the cleaning of the ward in order to prevent hospital infections
  • Controlling and monitoring cleanness and hygiene of wards, and maintaining order of wards
  • Collaborating with the Infection Control Committee to prevent hospital infections
  • Carrying out assigned tasks according to the order of superior authority
  • Observing safety notes and using safety equipment in any job, such as using the handrail at appropriate intervals, as well as reports of unsafe cases that damage the environment to the superior
  • Knowing quality policies, goals, strategic plan and mission of the organization
  • Knowing information and raising the level of awareness and sufficient justification in various areas of the hospital infection care system according to the instructions in the country's handbook
  • Cooperating with the Infection Control Office for transferring the obtained information to the personnel of the relevant ward, in various fields of infection control, as well as the required training in the field of observing the rules and regulations of hospital infection control.
  • Monitoring carefully and completing the hand hygiene observation form and submitting relevant reports and documents to the Infection Control Office in coordination with the Infection Control Expert
  • Checking out the relevant items daily and continuously according to the checklist provided by the Infection Control Office, reporting deficiencies to the Infection Control and Environmental Health Office of the hospital as soon as possible, completing the relevant checklist and delivering it to the relevant offices monthly.
  • In case of symptoms of hospital infection, according to the indicators announced for correct diagnosis by the infection control office, informing the infection control expert timely and monitoring the patient from the time of infection until discharge or death subsequently, cooperating in Completion of Form No. 1 Diagnosis with Infection Control Team, following up regarding performing secondary infection-related cultures for the patient in case of occupational injuries, informing the Infection Control Office timely and after ensuring immediate action for the injured person, informing the hospital infection control physician and infection control specialist according to the relevant flowchart
  • Submitting all documents, forms and statistics related to infectious and non-infectious diseases timely if observed in patients and staff, and submitting environmental culture statistics performed in the ward if necessary, and notifying positive cultures to the infection control office immediately
  • Completing the form related to the monitoring of quality control of sterilization by the interface and reporting it to the hospital infection control office at the end of each month, if the sterilization device is available in wards.
  • Cooperating dynamically and actively with the Infection Control Office in providing information and suggestions on various educational, research issues according to the necessity determined by this office and under the supervision of the Expert of Infection Control
  • Cooperating with the Infection Control Office timely to inform all ward staff about the completion of incomplete health records
  • Collaborating in monitoring the full implementation of the guidelines of Infection Control Office
  • Participating in the meetings of infection control interfaces regularly according to the calendar scheduled by this office
  • Notifying to the Infection Control Office timely regarding the violation of the laws related to the implementation of the instructions of the Infection Control Office of the hospital by the offenders for following up by the relevant offices
  • Notifying obstacles and possible problems in the correct implementation of the instructions of the Infection Control Office and the lack of relevant items to the head of the Infection and Health Control Office and Hospital timely.
  • Cooperating with Infection Control Office in preparing educational pamphlets according to the needs and necessity to promote the level of awareness
  • Collecting instructions, educational pamphlets in cardex of Infection Control Office of hospital, and archiving necessary documents for accessing them easily when needed
  • Performing necessary activities according to necessity, and changing instructions
  • Knowing policies of Infection Control of hospital
  • Arranging educational materials related to infection control items on the Infection Control Board
  • Supervising the use of safety notes and the use of personal protective equipment by staff, and coordinating with the Infection Control Office of the hospital in the use of new equipment in the hospital
  • Isolating infectious diseases if necessary in the ward in coordination with the Infection Control Office
