Responsibilities:
- Checking the existing situation in order to find the problems related to the provision of services
- Determining the policy for the relevant unit in line with the overall goals of the organization
- Setting the work schedule and dividing the work of supervised personnel in different shifts
- Planning to record and provide a complete report of each patient's condition
- Planning to inform new employees about the administrative regulations, standards, physical environment, devices and equipment
- Anticipating the needs of the ward like facilities, available equipment, consumables and following it up
- Planning to change and transform ward equipment in each work shift
- Organizing intra-departmental meetings and attracting the participation of personnel in order to solve the problems
- Paying attention to personnel needs and creating motivation to increase job satisfaction
- Participating in managers' meetings and presenting the needs of employees- patients to improve the situation
- Participating and cooperating in in-service training programs
- Participating and cooperating in the training of nursing students and other interns
- Controlling attendance of personnel
- Completing the employee evaluation form for the personnel
- Evaluating the services provided by the staff continuously through the satisfaction survey
- Controlling, tracking, recording and implementing doctor's orders, and monitoring its implementation
Responsibilities of nurses:
- Taking care measures based on the standards of nursing services, recording and following them such as: providing health, nutrition, sleep, excretory needs, breathing and v/s
- Carrying out the prescribed diagnostic-therapeutic care such as: intravenous fluids, blood transfusion, EKG, placement of Foley catheter, gastric catheter, plastering, splinting, IV LINE
- Performing basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation measures with the presence of the resuscitation team
- Providing nursing measures in transferring patients from one ward to another and providing related reports
- Providing pre- and post-operative nursing measures
- Guiding and counseling with patients in case of referral to other specialized, supportive, social resources
- Taking necessary measures to prevent infection
- Discharging and preparing patients
- Handing over the ward from the first shift personnel to the next shift personnel on the patient's bed
- Cooperating with doctors
- Recording all of taken measures
- Performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
