Introduction

Promotion of faculty members is one of the missions of the university, which can be achieved based on evaluating the educational, research and consecutive activities of faculty members.

This matter has caused the promotion of educational rank of the faculty members, the growth of their educational and research activities as members of the educational process of the university, and also the promotion of the educational environment of the university.

Therefore, Board of Auditors have been established to check out and comment on the promotion of faculty members to the ranks of assistant professor, associate professor and full professor, and to evaluate the quality of teaching and research duties of faculty members, as well as to check out other issues mentioned in the regulations of employment and recruitment of faculty members.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing the files of faculty members in order to be promoted to the rank of assistant professor, associate professor and full professor
• Changing the employment status of faculty members from experimental formal to definitive formal
• Calculating acceptable educational and research background of faculty members
• Calculating educational years of faculty members
• Notifying regulations, and any possible changes related to the promotion of faculty members
• Supervising the proper implementation of regulations related to the Board of Auditors
• Checking out and inquiring to update the relevant regulations and instructions
• Deciding on scientific stagnation of faculty members
• Electing the Secretary of the Board of Auditors and appointment of members of specialized committees
• Analyzing directives and regulations related to promotion and conversion of employment status of faculty members
• Supervising the planning regarding the preparation of the agenda and the minutes of the approvals of the Board of Auditors and notifying it to the relevant offices
• Preparing and arranging continuous reports related to the activities of the Board of Auditors to the highest official of the university
• Creating a database of statistics and information related to the employment status and promotion of faculty members
• Preliminary checking out in order to review and comment of Board of Auditors regarding the scientific competence of the candidates to enter the service in the ranks of instructor and assistant professor, as well as promotion of associate professor and full professor
• Making the necessary and effective relationship between the Specialized Committees of the Board of Auditors
• Coordinating between the Board of Auditors and the Selection Committee of Professor to expedite the checking out of the ethical competence of applicants who want to be faculty members.
• Following up and coordinating continuously on the formation of the meetings of Board of Auditors
• Continuous contact with the Central Audit Board of the Ministry of Health in order to provide the necessary information on the latest amendments to the relevant regulations and directives
• Coordinating with the representatives of Board of Auditors in the affiliated faculties to make them more familiar with the latest information from the existing regulations and instructions.
• Checking out and calculating educational records of faculty members
• Carrying out other affairs in the field of the job held according to the order of the superior authority
