Responsibilities:
- Taking orders and work plans from the relevant supervisor
- Ensuring the health and efficiency of the devices and equipment needed for surgery and getting familiar with the use of the equipment before starting the operation
- Getting informed about the existence of equipment and facilities needed for surgery and report insufficient cases, deficiencies and defects to the superior
- Getting to know with sterilization and disinfection methods and their application
- Controlling and preparing the operating room like: light, temperature, humidity, safety and accessories according to the surgical list
- Controlling the patient's file before surgery to ensure the completeness of the required medical documents
- Controlling and ensuring the sterility of surgical packs
- Helping and cooperating in reviving patients
- Getting to know with the instructions related to the operating room and their full implementation
- Communicating and providing the necessary training to the patient
- Attending the patient's bedside during the entire operation
- Getting to know with drugs, how to take and use drugs
- Maintaining and collecting pathology samples according to hospital policy
- Completing and accurately recording all registration items and reports from the beginning to the end of the operation
- Monitoring and recording of vital signs of patients accurately
