Responsibilities:
- Identifying patients in need of support services and assistance with the daily rounds of the wards
- Providing support services to patients without guardians, unknown persons, covered by organizations and charities, disabled people, special and incurable patients, suicide cases, prisoners, child abuse, drug addicts and homeless.
- Investigating patients' financial and insurance problems and getting patients known of insurance and how to use it
- Providing counseling services to the patients and their families for the patient's health care support
- Psycho-social assessment to know the psycho-social condition of patients in need of specialized psychological services, referring them to a hospital psychologist
- Communicating and attracting cooperation with social resources in the society (state and non-state) and using them for the benefit of patients and their families
- Staff discounts
- Registering discounts for the needy in the ministry system
- Registering discounts for special patients in the ministry system
- Following up on matters related to babies and patients left in the hospital with social welfare emergency
- Following up on matters related to send patients to other hospitals, contacting the destination hospital
- Planning to introduce and attract charitable people and institutions regarding health cooperation
- Participating in hospital committees in order to fulfill the goals of social work in improving the provision of services to clients
