What is Scientometric?
Scientometric is the science of measuring and analyzing science that measures the scientific output of researchers and organizations in the form of quantitative variables. Scientometric indicators include indicators for evaluating the quantity and quality of scientific output that can be the basis for evaluation and ranking of faculty members, departments, colleges, universities, research centers and countries. In general, scientometrics can be considered as the knowledge of calculating and analyzing science.
The center of Scientometric of SEMUMS
The Scientometric department of Semnan University of Medical Sciences and Health Services was established in 2015 in Deputy of Research and Technology of the university. This department is supervised by Department of Information, Medical Scientometric and Scientific Resources and intends to continuously review and evaluate the scientific products of universities, research centers and other affiliated units, and designs the necessary interventions in line with the policy of quantitative and qualitative promotion of scientific products and scientific status of the university and the country.
