Ambassador of Ghana in Iran: We are looking to expand cooperation with Semnan University of Medical Sciences and Health Services

The Ambassador of Ghana in Iran said: The quality of Iran's healthcare services is at the highest level.
Eric Owusu Boateng at the Cross- Cultural Medical Education Conference of SEMUMS said: The health and treatment capacities in the Islamic Republic of Iran are a great opportunity for Iran to take steps to train health and treatment activists in Africa.
He added: We greatly welcome the relations between Semnan University of Medical Sciences and Health Services with African countries, especially Ghana. The interaction between SEMUMS and Ghana has a great impact on the expansion of medical services and the development of relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Ghana.
He added: In Ghana, there is only one doctor for every one thousand people, which is not appropriate at all. The government of Ghana is making a lot of effort to improve these statistics; But this is not possible due to the lack of necessary infrastructure.
He believed in this conference as a very valuable opportunity to develop the relations of SEMUMS with the Health and Treatment Department of Ghana and stated that the cultural connection and the expansion of the relationship between the two countries through attracting students is very important.
He said: The most important way to establish better communication between the two countries is to establish communication between the effective people of the two countries, because the communication between students and people of the two countries removes many obstacles facing the countries.
The Ambassador of Ghana in the Islamic Republic of Iran, referring to the valuable educational, research and treatment capacities of SEMUMS, expressed his desire to sign a memorandum of understanding with the authorities of SEMUMS in order to expand the cooperation in the field of health and treatment.
