Public Relations of Motamedi Hospital: the first lung surgery using minimally invasive video trachoscopy surgery was successfully performed at this hospital on 19. Oct. 2023.
A 31-year-old young patient complained of shortness of breath and accumulation of fluid in the lungs and chest cavity. Dr. Anisi, explained: "Trachoscopy is a procedure in which a narrow, clear tube is inserted through a small incision in the chest wall. This method allows the surgeon to see the lungs and other structures inside the chest and perform some small surgeries.
He further said: Compared to open surgery, this procedure has significant advantages, such as: less pain and secretion due to small incisions, maintaining the beauty of the surgical site, faster discharge and recovery, etc.
