Public Relations of SEMUMS:

The animal experiment phase of the knowledge-based project of implantation and production of natural tooth buds in jaws of live animal was successfully performed by the researchers of the School of Dentistry of Semnan University of Medical Sciences and Health Services.

Dr. Kamran Ghods said: A unique compound was implanted in the extracted tooth of a rabbit by using stem cells and a new special type of signal invented as an inducing agent. The results of three-dimensional imaging and microscopic results of the jaw of this animal prove the fact that the emergence of a bud is a complete natural tooth.

Chancellor of SEMUMS announced that researchers of SEMUMS conducted seven stages of various specialized trials and tests to advance this project and said: " This method has been studied on one rabbit so far, and is planned on the next two rabbits, and in the next stage we want to form and test the reproducibility of this procedure by protruding the tooth from the gum on the next animal.
