Internationalization of SEMUMS
Considering the vision and goals of SEMUMS, the internationalization of this university in the fields of education and treatment is very important.
Public relations of SEMUMS, a meeting on health tourism, international patient recruitment and medical tourism was held at SEMUMS on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 with the presence of Dr. Danaei, Chancellor of SEMUMS, Dr. Gohari, Vice Chancellor of Treatment, Dr. Pahlavan, Vice Chancellor of Management, Resources and Planning, Heads Hospitals of SEMUMS and a group of administrators of SEMUMS.
Dr. Danaei stated: "Considering the vision and goals of SEMUMS, the internationalization of this university in the fields of education and treatment is very important. Internationalization is important due to the admission of non-Iranian students, who are studying in the fields of operating room, continuous nursing, undergraduate physiotherapy, medical and dental majors in Ph.D. level in the International Campus Faculty of SEMUMS.
Dr. Danaei continued: "The internationalization should be developed in the field of treatment. Therefore, health tourism should be developed and international patients should be attracted by upgrading the existing infrastructure in the hospitals covered by SEMUMS."
He added: "Due to the development of health tourism and the International Patient Department in the hospitals covered by SEMUMS, all diagnostic and treatment services to foreign patients are coordinated with the relevant needs and the International Health Tourism Department of hospital follows the hospitalization and treatment of these patients."
Dr. Danaei: Health Tourism (IPD) is responsible to communicate with foreign patients, follow their treatment process, their return to their countries, and their postoperative care.
