Launching of the International Campus of SEMUMS in Georgia
Public Relations of SEMUMS:
Dr. Ghods, Chancellor of SEMUMS, announced: International Campus of SEMUMS is in line with international activities of SEMUMS and goals of internationalization of education in Iran.
He added: Deputies of Education and International Affairs succeeded to gain Initial Authorization of establishing International Campus of SEMUMS in International Council of Deputy of Education of Ministry of Health and Medical Education in Sept. 2019. This project was stopped due to COVID19 and restarted in Mar.2022.
He said: Vice-Chancellors of Education and International Affairs of SEMUMS who were representatives of Ministry of Health and Medical Education visited New Vision University of Georgia, its Educational- Laboratory- Clinical and Hospital equipment which are going to be used in International Campus of SEMUMS. They prepared Institutional Evaluation Report, External Evaluation Report and examined existing facilities and potentials. Therefore, the activities of the International Campus of Georgia with two fields of Doctorate in General Medicine and Doctorate in General Dentistry were put on the agenda of the university.
Also, he added that it was approved by the Board of Directors of SEMUMS in Nov.2022 and by Board of Trustees in 25. Feb. 2023.
Dr. Ghods said: this cooperation is to develop scientific, educational and research interactions of SEMUMS with universities in the Caucasus area. It is very valuable and in line with the university's internationalization policies. He emphasized that: Modern hospital facilities and equipment, and experienced academic staff are ready to accept international students from Georgia to take specialized courses at SEMUMS.
It should be said that: The process of establishing, launching, and managing student and educational affairs of the international campus in Georgia has started with the cooperation of the International Academy of Sciences of Georgia and the participation of New Vision University of Georgia.
