Public Relations of Amir al-Momenin Hospital:

A 30-year-old and 30 weeks’ pregnant woman, in her fifth pregnancy, underwent surgery at Amir al-Momenin Hospital due to multiple bleedings and the diagnosis of Placenta Percreta. Dr. Bostan-Gynecologist-, Dr. Hosseinzadeh- anesthesiologist- and Dr Saffarieh- Oncology Fellowship - performed a pre-cesarean section for the patient, hysterectomy with ovary preservation, adhesion release and bladder rupture repair were performed.

The Oncology Fellowship said: Placenta Percreta is important because it does not separate on its own during labor, so attempts to manually remove it result in bleeding that can be life-threatening for the mother. She added that the mother and the baby are doing well and the baby boy is in the hospital's NICU.
