In this specialized meeting, the Chancellor of SEMUMS, while introducing the medical centers, faculties and health centers, stated: This university is fully prepared to cooperate with the Ministry of Health of Ghana and Ghanaian universities regarding the exchange of students, professors and research activities.
Dr. Kamran Ghods said: Considering that the hospitals of SEMUMS obtained the IPD license (International Patient Department) and attracting tourism, one of the other issues that SEMUMS can interact with Ghana is health and medical issues, especially medical tourism.
The ambassador of Ghana in Iran also pointed out that there is only one doctor for every 1,000 people in Ghana, which is not appropriate in any way, and said: SEMUMS is equipped with modern medical and educational facilities and equipment. Our country wants to cooperate with SEMUMS in medical and research fields.
He added: Recruiting students and health tourism is one of the useful and important ways to transfer experience, science and culture, and SEMUMS, which is an international university in the field of health and treatment, can play an influential role in sharing these important matters in Ghana.
He expressed hope that this trip can be effective in bilateral interactions in various fields including student and health tourism in Semnan province.
